Wilson Combat Complete High Performance AR Uppers

Our complete High Performance AR Upper Receiver Units use the same top tier components, skilled gunsmith assembly and final finishing as our prized custom AR rifles that we have expertly built since 1999.

The Wilson Combat machined, hand polished, match grade stainless barrel is the core of these accurate and reliable upper units that will turn your lower into a custom AR rifle well equipped for hunting, duty or tactical competition.

Other Wilson Combat components like our versatile and lightweight M-LOK rail, Q-COMP muzzle device and Black Nitride bolt carrier assembly with ensure that your upper exceeds your cosmetic and performance expectations.

Each Wilson Combat High Performance custom upper is test fired and finished in our Armor-Tuff coating and is certified to drop on and function with any mil-spec, AR lower unit.

The PROTECTOR seires AR carbine from Wilson Combat have been designed from  the ground up to offer true rifle performance in a Tactical AR package. Using a CNC-Machined, Mil Spec forged upper, the PROTECTOR series AR Carbines are lightweight and fast handling.

300 HAM'R
  • The 300 HAM'R was developed for optimal terminal performance in a standard AR rifle - and offers near .308 Winchester effectiveness while exceeding the ballistics of the famous 30-30 rifle - the most popular hunting cartridge of all time.
  • The 300 HAM'R cartridge has 18% more retained velocity, 40% more energy and a 56% flatter trajectory than the 300 BLACKOUT at 200 yards!  The 300 HAM'R has amazing accuracy and low recoil in a lightweight, compact standard AR platform rifle that uses a standard 5.56 Bolt.  We recommend a 300 Blackout magazine for best overall reliablilty.  Ammuntion and reloading dies/info is available from Wilson Combat.

Great upper
I purchased this upper from a Wilson Combat distributor. I received it and was pleasantly surprised that it included a Wilson Combat zippered case and inside the case was a 4” rail section included. The upper has an outstanding finish without any noticeable machine marks anywhere. I mated this upper with an Aero lower with mil-spec trigger and there is a nice tight fit between upper and lower without using the tension screw. I mounted a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x44 and took it out to my pasture/shooting area. I used a standard front rest from a shooting table. The platform is reasonably stable and I was able to keep most groups under 1.5-2” with occasional flyers, using Wilson Combat’s 125gr. FMJ load. This is more than satisfactory for me because I don’t shoot as well as I use to and considering I didn’t use a higher powered optic. I believe if I had mounted a different scope and had a better trigger, this upper may be capable of 1 MOA. This is my first Wilson Combat upper, and I am completely happy. I think this is certainly a better option than 300 Blkout and I prefer shooting it over my 308 AR’s. It could be the most efficient AR15 caliber for hunting at ranges less than 200 yards. It is an all around excellent round for shooting, hunting and possibly defense if suppressed. Wilson Combat offers a wide variety of loads that are usually in stock and are not that expensive. My next round to shoot is the 130gr. HotCor load. Great job, Wilson Combat.
