Detailed Description

The Wilson Combat SHOK-BUFF® for the Beretta 92 prevents the slide from battering the frame during recoil by sandwiching a 1/10" thick injection molded polymer buffer between the slide and frame contact surfaces. When shooting high performance loads in your Beretta 92 style pistol, you will want the extra protection that the SHOK-BUFF® provides.  By slowing slide impact, the Beretta 92 SHOK-BUFF® also tames the felt recoil impulse and reduces muzzle flip.  The SHOK-BUFF® is ideal for all uses but especially high round count practice sessions or when firing +P ammunition.

  • Prevents the Slide from Battering the Frame During Recoil and reduces the recoil impulse and muzzle flip
  • The SHOK-BUFF® offers the Optimum Balance Between Shock Absorption and Longevity
  • Easily installed by simply sliding over the recoil spring of the assembled, factory guide rod and lining up with the slide’s front impact surface
  • Absorbs Several Thousand  Rounds of Repeated Firings-replace when swollen or torn
  • Injection Molded for extreme durability-not die cut like others
  • Royal Blue and Bears the SHOK-BUFF® Name
  • Compatible with any full size and compact Beretta 92/96/M9/Taurus PT-92  variant

Seems to reduce recoil and barrel wear on 92A1 2/27/2019
Relatively new 96A1 that has about 250 rds through it. First time on the range noticed some strange barrel wear on the left side back of the sight which is visible when the slide is fully closed. Basically a mark in the finish of the barrel the about 1mm. Touched it up with PermaBlue. Took it out again and shot maybe 50. Same mark through the PermaBlue. Touched up again and installed this - four clips through it now no mark. Gun shoots very smooth with less jolt and seems a little more accurate. Does it make a difference dont know - maybe shooting the pistol better. Time with tell but for a few dollars this seems to make a difference and at least I dont have to constantly touch the pistol every time I shoot.

It Works !!! 10/12/2018
I have been reading mixed reviews on this product and some persons are not too sure that it works....Try this, without Shok Buff... bring empty gun to slide lock, youll hear a clank when the slide hits the frame at full open action. Now try with Shok Buff... that clank is now dampen by the Shok Buff... it slightly improves on muzzle flip as well....in my opinion, it works, and is by far worth the few dollars.

More frame life 3/28/2018
After putting 500 rounds thru my 92fs I could see the impact wear on the aluminium frame at the location of the beginning of locking block in the slide. So I installed this shokbuff which has seemed to correct the impact wear. After 400 more rounds I have not noticed any new wear marks on the frame. As far as recoil, i did not notice a difference.

Simple to install and hold up well while protecting frame. 2/4/2015
this is a nice little no frills shock buffer that works wonders protecting the slide and frame with recoil.

Eliminates Slide to Frame Contact 1/31/2015
I cant really tell the difference in recoil reduction, but this little piece will help lengthen the life of your pistol by stopping the steel slide from impacting the aluminum frame. Great value for little money spent.

works pretty good 12/22/2014
I decided to give this a try and am pleased with the results. I dont normally shoot +P ammo but do tend to load up my power charge towards the upper limit given in load tables. It noticeably reduces the recoil and with that muzzle flip. Not bad for a few dollars.
