As advertised and more
I replaced the hand-shredder on-slide levers with the standard single-lever safety/decocker from WC and it was a life changer. There’s a great install video from Average Doomsday Prepper Dude on YouTube that’s all you need for the DIY install...a couple of fiddly springs so I strongly suggest you work inside a big ziplock food storage bag to keep from shooting them across the room...but beyond that it was a breeze and it works like a charm!!!!!!! You’ll need the proper punches and tools, but ADPD lays those out for you. Can’t recommend this enough for anyone looking at inadvertent safety activation when overhanding (or ripping your hand to bits). Retains both the safety and the decocker function but makes your 92 easier to maniupulate and conceal. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. Strongly recommend.
bonus feature
Great piece!. I wanted a one-sided lower profile safety/de-cocker so I purchased the low profile version - Functioned well, but profile was too low if hands should have sweat, blood, or gloves on them. I opted for the "standard" single sided de-cocker planning to grind down the profile to somewhere between the "low profile" and the stock Beretta part. To my pleasant surprise, the Wilson Combat part was already about 1 mm. lower profile than the stock part. No modifications necessary! Perfect!
Must have for CC
Absolutely love this conversion kit, works perfectly fits the pistol with ease!
Single safety/decocker
At first I was apprehensive about installing this one over the low profile version Im happy I decided on this one; it gives the same amount of purchase as the oem part. I found it to be very easy to install just be sure to lay a rag over the gun and your hands to prevent the pins and springs from launching into the abyss .
Well worth the cost
Does a pretty good job of slimming down the pistol for carry purposes. Much less to snag clothing on and yet large enough to easily disengage the safety under stress. The thumb catch is the same size as the stock part. Easy drop in part to install. Lots of YouTube videos about it. Just dont forget to install everything in a sandwich bag. I was chasing springs and detents all over the living room at one point.
True Drop in Part
I installed this today and went to the range to try out my 92fs after installing all the other Parts I bought from WC. The gun shoots great and the function is so much better. Now one of the Range Officer wants me to put all the same parts in his gun.
Elegant Modification to My Centurion
Im right-handed. I think ambi-safeties clutter a gun. About a year and a half ago I put the decocker-only version of this product on my Elite, which is a G. Its really tidy. Today I put the safety-decocker on my FS Centurion. It looks great. I might mention that on Beretta FS guns I use the lever as a decocker only -- never as a safety. Its so easy to flip it on and off that I really dont miss it being a G model.
Wilson Combat Standard Single Lever Safety/De-Cocker
Works great, very happy with product. It is very easy to engage the Safety. However, this part was not drop in. I just couldnt get it to fit properly. I took it to a gunsmith to have it installed. He said it was off 1/5000 on an inch. It doesnt seen like a lot but it now fits perfect. Anyway its a great upgrade which may have to be installed by a gunsmith.
Is as pictured. Well made high quality and same lever dimension as original.
