Our Bullet-Proof Recoil Spring Plug is precision CNC machined from steel bar stock for maximum durability. The end of the plug is left un-checkered for a sleek look that the bushing / bushing wrench will not mar during assembly and/or disassembly.

Recoil Spring Plugs are easy to lose during disassembly and your gun won’t run without one, so it’s always good to have a spare on hand.

Outstanding Recoil Spring Plug
This is an extremely high quality recoil spring plug. In over thirty years of shooting 1911 style pistols, I have never seen one break or fail. I have, however, witnessed a few instances where shooters on the range carelessly disassembled their 1911s only to have this part fly away and get lost in the grass and brush. Because things like this do happen from time to time, its a great idea to keep one of these in your 1911 and maintain the original as a spare.

Another great part from WC
I just ordered this part for my continuing upgrade of my Colt WWI reproduction. As soon as I opened the package I noticed it was clearly superior to the original plug. Dropped right in and looks great.
