Introducing The Wilson Combat Next Generation ETM-9mm 1911 magazines-Now Completely Redesigned for Enhanced Reliability
In the quest for flawless magazine function across a wide variety of custom and production handguns Bill Wilson has redesigned our Elite Tactical 9mm 1911 magazines to feed more smoothly, seat easier and lock back positively in a wider spectrum of guns than ever before. Our “Next Generation” ETM 9mm magazines have arrived and like other Wilson Combat Magazines will raise the bar for 1911 pistol reliability.
After months of intensive research and testing by Bill Wilson in a myriad of custom and factory 9mm 1911’s we believe we have solved the issue of magazine reliability in a single stack 9mm 1911. These Next Gen ETM magazines have a redesigned tube with a small front ramp to prevent nose down feeding with short or hollow point rounds.
A redesigned back spacer accommodates a wide variety of long-loaded ammunition and a stainless steel follower and extra power spring ensure slide lockback even in guns with marginal or incorrectly fitted slide stops.
These are the finest magazines made for the 9mm 1911 platform and have been rigorously tested by our cadre of professional shooters. Bill Wilson himself has logged over 10,000 rounds of various factory and reloaded 9mm ammunition to develop these magazines which are suitable for competition or tactical use.
The Next Generation of 9mm 1911 reliability is available now. Compact versions are coming soon.
Note: Some Kimber® 1911 handguns have barrel feed ramps that are left undressed at the factory and will interfere with the ramped front of this magazine. The barrel can be easily modified by a gunsmith to provide the proper clearance required.
Disassembly / Maintenance Instructions
Our magazine tubes have a lifetime satisfaction policy. Wilson Combat will replace any magazine tube that spreads, cracks or becomes unusable during normal use. Wilson Combat magazine springs and followers are considered consumable items and may require replacing after extensive use. Polymer baseplates can break if you drop a loaded magazine on a hard surface. We recommend metal baseplates for hard use.

staccato alternative | 5/24/2022 |
I purchase a Staccato C as my first CCW pistol. I am in love with the firearm. Only problem I have with it, living in a restricted state, I can only carry 10 rounds. the pistol came with 2, 8rd mags. from Staccato 2011, those mags are $50.00 and the base pads leave much to be desired… especially for the price I paid. The perfect alternative is the Elite Tactical, 9mm w/ standard base pads! These mags look like they were made specifically for the Staccato. The baseplate sits perfectly into the lower recessed portion of the grip, and w/ a barney load, I am carrying 10 rounds! These mags make the Staccato comparable to ANY of the sub compacts/compacts competing for this market (Hellcat, LC9, P365, 43x, 48, Shield, etc) Im glad I found these and gave them a try. I have 8 of them + the two that came standard, my case is full, and I’m a satisfied customer!!!

Great Mag | 4/1/2022 |
I recently built a 9mm single stack 1911 with a ramped barrel. It was intended to be for EDC so I built the pistol on an alloy frame. That was th reason for the ramped barrel. The gun had failures to feed on a regular basis with the JHP factory round that I wanted to carry. I tried several diff mags but all had the same issue, especially first round off the slide stop lever. I have been building 1911s for over 40 years and never had an issue making them feed--until now. I spoke to a couple of different friends in the industry, one of which builds hi-end 1911 barrels for a living. He laughed when I told him I put a ramped barrel in the pistol. He told me what I already figured out and that the 9mm with its tapered case, is really too short for a 1911 frame. I converted the pistol to a 38 Super and the feed problems went away. But I wanted a 9!! I read Wilson's ad in regards to their magazine for the 9mm Single stacks and decided to give them a try. I stuck the 9mm barrel back in the pistol and loaded the Wilson mag to capacity. I chambered the first round off the slide stop and it fed like it was greased. I hand fed the rest, even riding the slide a bit, and all of them chambered cleanly, without a stumble. I've fired over 100 rounds witht he new mags and have had zero issues. Great mag for a single stack.

another good wilson combat magazine | 10/30/2016 |
I utilize ONLY Wilson Combat magazines in my 1911s. They are the only ones that I will trust my life to. That being said, it was odd to see a WC magazine without a fiber-fill nylon follower. These magazines have metal followers ... like all the other after-market magazines and even those from the manufacturer. I would prefer to see the fiber-fill nylon follower because I feel that it functions so much smoother. So far these magazines have functioned properly and are built with high WC quality.

1911 Elite Tactical Magazine, 9mm, Compact, 9 Round, ETM Base Pad | 6/8/2016 |
I really like these new magazines and the metal follower. I also like the 9 round capacity and the ETM base pad. These work great in my CQB compact with speed chute/magwell. I will be buying more of these. You can never have too many magazines. Highly recommend to anyone.
