When it comes to 1911 reliability, the extractor is the most important component part of your 1911 handgun. A well-designed, properly tuned extractor ensures that your pistol feeds, extracts and ejects reliably every time.
All Wilson Combat Bullet Proof ® Extractors are machined from solid bar stock alloy steel and then specially heat treated for long lasting tension and toughness to resist chipping or breakage.
Wilson Bullet Proof ® extractors are the choice of professional gunsmiths and will hold tension longer and resist damage better than any other extractor on the market.
All of our 1911 extractors require minimal fitting for proper function and often will drop in some guns with only final tensioning required. Used in conjunction with a Wilson Combat firing pin stop you can optimize extractor function for any 1911 pistol.
PH 13-8 Stainless Steel
13-8 Mo stainless is typically used for valve parts, fittings, cold-headed and machined fasteners, shafts, landing gear parts, pins, aircraft components, nuclear reactor components and petrochemical applications requiring resistance to stress-corrosion cracking. Generally, this alloy should be considered where high strength, toughness, corrosion resistance, and resistance to stress cracking are required in a steel. Tensile strength of 215,000 PSI
Series 70 vs Series 80 1911 Extractors:
The difference between Series 70 and Series 80 extractors is a plunger retainer stud machined into the Series 80 extractor. This retainer stud holds the firing pin safety plunger that is visible next to the disconnector rail in place on Colt-style Series 80 slides. All extractors which are designed to work in a Series 80 1911 will also work in all Series 70 guns, however extractors designed for Series 70 guns lack the machined cut which allows the firing pin lock plunger to be installed and therefore can not be used in Series 80 guns. Kimber series II guns can use either a 70 series or 80 series. All Springfield Armory 1911 pistols are 70 series.

|Purchased this item for my Colt Double Eagle Series 90 Officers ACP after viewing the tutorial on the Wilson Combat Site. I was having feeding and ejection issues intermittently and narrowed it down to the ejector. I contacted Wilson Combat for compatible parts and they graciously e-mailed a list. The ejector dropped in perfectly and functions properly as well. With their magazines and parts I have greater confidence in my firearm and will continue to patronize Wilson Combat for my needs. Great Customer Service|

|Seems to have worked as advertised||7/3/2017|
|I have a Combat Commander. It has a slight habit of jamming. I installed this ejector and the Wilson firing pin. Put about 75 rounds through the gun, using three different clips, and not a single jam. I would have expected at least one. So too early to tell for sure, but so far, seems to have solved a problem.|

|Recently I purchased a Taurus PT1911AR. Most comments on the internet said a Taurus was junk and had problems with FTE. My budget is not unlimited so I bought the Taurus figuring it was just internet hype. Well, it was not internet hype... my first 300 rounds had an FTE ratio of 20/1. Talked to Taurus and they said most likely a faulty extractor and send it to Miami and they were happy to fix it. I was impatient decided to fix it myself! I ordered and installed the Wilson Combat Extractor. Fast shipping, perfect fit, no tuning or mods required. Since then and running over 1,500 rounds all types and qualities through the pistol, have had ZERO FTE. Regardless of the make of the 1911, if your 1911 is having any FTE issues, do yourself a favor and get a Wilson Combat Extractor and a few Wilson 47D mags... your 1911 will run smooth as silk! Thank You Wilson Combat!|
