Detailed Description

"COMBAT UTILITY BLADE" (C.U.B.) Fighter from Steve Woods and Wilson Combat

A new custom collaboration between renowned knifemaker Steve Woods of Rock River Iron and Wilson Combat.

When we saw this practical, tactical fixed blade knife we knew that we had to offer it exclusively to our customers. The overall quality and field-proven design of the Woods-Wilson C.U.B. is first rate!

The C.U.B. fighter is a mid-size belt knife that is small enough for everyday tactical use but big enough for most larger field and tactical chores. The matte bead blasted 154-CM USA made stainless blade steel is an excellent choice for a knife to be carried close to the body as it is rust resistant yet holds a superb edge. 154-CM was originally designed as jet turbine blade material and it handles the rigors of everyday knife use extremely well.

The machined 3D G-10 handles come in your choice of Black, Green, or Black/Gray in the Wilson Combat Starburst pattern with double inset medallions from Woods and Wilson. The aggressive Starburst pattern locks your hand in a firm grip even when wet or oily. The C.U.B. is as effective as it is handsome.

The C.U.B.’s practical tactical drop point blade shape is useful for all belt knife tasks and thin flat grind zips through most tough materials with ease and is easy to re-sharpen in the field.

A custom kydex sheath with Tek-Lok universal belt attachment is included.

Steve Woods has made tactical fighting knives for military and special operations teams for many years-now is your chance to try his latest combat-utility blade, available only from Wilson Combat.

high quality 8/11/2013
Very high quality and robust.the only complaint I have is the sheath.it seems to be cheaply constructed and the blade fit is very loose.it also seems bulkier than necessary

CUB in Afghanistan 2/20/2013
I love my wife! She ordered me the CUB as a Valentines Day gift, and lo and behold it arrived on the 14th. I am very impressed with the craftsmanship and feel of this fine piece of kit, and it will be on my side every day until I go home. Thank you Wilson, Steve Woods and my wife!!!

Try to take it from me. Molon Labe. 2/13/2013
This. Knife. Is. Awesome. I am a wood sculptor and student of traditional hand tools and I love this blade. The alloy is light, strong and appears to hold the edge. Whoever was complaining about receiving a dull C.U.B.- you got a dud, pal... mine was super-sharp. This knife is very well proportioned and very well balanced. It fits my hand like it was custom made for me. Wish I had 50 of these knives.

CUB Review 11/25/2012
I purchased the CUB as a general utility knife to carry on my left side when carrying my 1911. Let me say that I am quite impressed. The fit and finish on the knife is fantastic. One thing I like about the knife is that there are no sharp corners anywhere on the knife to snag on clothing or on an arm/rib. I carried the knife for 17+ hrs on a recent trip with most of the time spent sitting in a car. Knife was quite comfortable. One last thing that I was very surprised about is that the sheath is great. Very smooth and by far the best kydex sheath Ive come across.

Prestigious Blade of Excellence 11/8/2012
As a prior parachute rigger in the military and currently a Doctor of Pharmacy, Im accustomed to attention to detail ATD. This magnificent tool of perfection is exquisite upon first impression, but its not until you extract the blade from its security that you realize you just purchased a piece of quality. Extremely impressed by the razor sharpness of the blade and ATD. I highly recommend this ultimate backup weapon.

Brilliant little/big Wilson/Woods C.U.B. 9/9/2012
The CUB is an ideal weight & has a great feel in the hand. The handle is longer than many similar knives & suits a larger hand. Well designed blade & edge retention is fine. This knife is very portable but can handle bigger tasks normally reserved for larger knives. I am very impressed with it.

just lacks being excellent 6/5/2012
Pros: Outstanding knife - great ergonomics, great weight, great balance. Perfect length for all-day carry. High quality in all details. Cons: This is my third knife from Wilson, and each subsequent knife is shipped duller than the last one. This one is so dull as to be useless and it will require me to pay a professional person to put an edge on it. After paying such a high price I would have expected a better edge. Also, the sheath is lacking - maybe Wilson could offer a selection of other sheaths. Bottom Line: Highly recommended - just be aware of certain faults - from my point of view.
