Wilson Combat Recon Tactical Profile Barrels
The Recon Tactical is our vision of what a practical, all-around medium profile AR barrel for rigorous tactical training, hardcore hunting or all-purpose field applications should be. The Recon can do it all-very well. Fluted barrel model reduce weight even further and increases stiffness to the barrel for no loss in practical accuracy.
5.56 NATO was developed in the United States and initially chambered in the M16 rifle. It is the standard cartridge for NATO forces as well as many non-NATO countries. It is derived from, but not identical to, the .223 Remington cartridge. We use a NATO, mil-spec chamber in our barrels that is reliable and safe to fire both 5.56 and .223 Remington rounds. This common and easy-to shoot cartridge is ideal for defense, training and small-medium game hunting.

Wilson Combat AR Barrel Service Policy
Because of the nature of the AR parts business and varying pressures of commerically avaiable ammunition, Wilson Combat cannot guarantee function in customer built AR rifles. We recommend all components be installed by a competent rifle-smith.
If you assemble a firearm with Wilson Combat components and it fails to function, you first need to check the fit of the barrel to the gas block and the overall condition of your rifle's gas system/bolt carrier group to ensure your system isn't leaking gas. As buffers and springs play a role in overall reliability, the use of an aftermarket style buffer system is not recommended. When using an adjustable gas block, reliability is best achieved at the fully open setting without any gas port restriction.
Wilson Combat will not troubleshoot customer built firearms/uppers.
If you feel a Wilson Combat component is defective, please return the component only to us using our Return Form. Shipping to Wilson Combat is the responsibility of the consumer.

|Well worth it.||5/13/2021|
|First off this barrel looks awesome. I couldn’t find a single blemish or imperfect. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Wilson Combat. The intermediate length gas tube was an eyebrow raiser at first, but I understand its purpose and I did notice a difference of softer recoil over my old mid-length gas system. The accuracy with 55gr 223 Winchester white box, M193 and M855 shot one MOA, benched with a good trigger at 100 yards. That’s match grade, without match grade ammo. This barrel is top notch in my book. I’d gladly buy another Wilson Combat barrel someday.|

|Just installed this barrel on my AR to replace the original. WOW! First groups I shot at 50 yards were all touching. At 100 yards it shot sub minute groups when I did my part. Shooting 75 grain Hornady T2 TAP. I attached an OSS Suppressor and the accuracy held. Love this barrel and I can’t wait to shoot it at longer distances. Nice barrel!|
