I always carry my para ordnance warthog everywhere I go. I have always had this load in it. During a muzzle loader hunt in south Georgia I had just gotten out of my climber and my rifle was still slung when a very large rabid dog came charging right toward me. I was able to draw down and place one round cleanly into its throat, dropping it to the ground. Thank God for this accurate and devastatingly effective round.

From a terminal performance standpoint this is one of the best .45 Auto loads Ive tested delivering above average performance in every category but penetration and there it fell only a half inch short. Its what I carry.

This load was accurate, 100% reliable and controllable when fired in 4 inch Wilson, Nighthawk and Ed Brown models. Five total pistols were tested with this round. A Kimber Ultra CDP II 3 inch 1911 was also tested. It reliably handles 230 grain fmj ammo but would consistently jam using the 160 grain Wilson load. Many 3 inch 1911s are notoriously picky regarding what they are fed.

This ammo is fantastic. Wilson is not lying when they say this ammo is low flash and low recoil. The flash is similar to a small spark and the recoil is less than 230gr FMJ. I fired two boxes through my Sig P245 and was very impressed. This will be my new carry load and plan on converting my 9mms to Wilson ammo after testing.
