Wilson Combat re-designed and flawlessly CNC machined from hardened, billet tool steel, the button of our Bullet Proof® Tactical Magazine Release is slightly extended 1/16” over a stock part for fast, smooth operation and is equally suited for competition or carry. Perfectly checkered at 30 LPI for non-slip activation and engineered to maximum drop-in tolerances, this easy upgrade will improve the feel and performance of any 1911 pattern pistol. Minor fitting may be required. Available in chromoly (blued) or stainless steel. Magazine catch lock and spring not included.

Installed this magazine release in my Kimber Warrior. It dropped straight in. Initially, the catch was biting on the magazine a bit too firmly; it actually made a little dent on the magazine lip. I made some minor fitting and now the magazine insertion and ejection are both smooth as butter!

A friend told me that he was not happy with the quality of the mag release on his Kimber: it felt gritty, spongy and sluggish. I replaced it with a WC Bullet Proof version and now it functions like a Porsche on the Autobahn. Quality is everything and, as always, Wilson leads the way.

Replaced the magazine release on my Kimber Ultra Carry with a Wilson Combat part. The Kimber part was cast and the checkering was slippery. The Wilson Combat part has better checkering and seems to make it easier for quick magazine changes.
