Star Benza - My Star EDC Knife |
Date Posted: 11/25/2012 |
| I finally got around to writing a review on this knife as it has been my EDC knife for one year. All I can say is wow. The subtleties of the knife is where the beauty and function truly reside. Everything is well thought out and functional for a practical yet elegant blade. The WC Starburst pattern adds a lot of functional grip without the need for inserts which can become damaged and add extra width. The double thumbstuds on this knife was quite unexpected as Sebenzas do not come standard with this feature. Also the lanyard with the WC bead was a very nice touch. Do yourself a favor and pick up this knife. You will not be disappointed. |

Nice! |

| I own both the Star-Tac and the Star Benza. The Star-Tac is great for blue jeans or cargo pants. The Star Benza is awesome in a suit or slacks. I own several Chris Reeves knives and have hard used them for more than 10 years, carrying them overseas and in domestic law enforcement operations. These knives represent Wilson Combat with the quality they demand. Thanks for a great product. |

Sharp as a MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Date Posted: 6/2/2011 |
| Just like any other high quality knife I own, If i do not slice my hand or finger at least to the bone, then I know I will lose the knife. If it requires stitches like this one did, then i know I will keep it forever. It became part of me. I was practicing combat knife drills per military training and just like that SON OF A ..... good clean cut easy sew job. Love this knife And GO BUY YOU ONE NOW!!!!!!!!!!! |

Perfect 3 inch EDC, But Some Things You Should Know... |
Date Posted: 3/24/2011 |
| First off, I love this knife. Typical sebenza quality. 5 Stars all the way. Next, let me note that there were a couple surprises upon receiving this knife. First, the wilson combat eagle logo is not present on the clip as pictured, which I will be contacting them about. Secondly, the blade steel is not S30V like it currently says, but is actually the newer S35VN that Chris Reeve has recently started using which is in my opinion/experience superior in practically every way. Two small differences that deserve being noted, but still a top notch, worth every penny, top of the line knife. I absolutely love mine, and wouldnt trade it for anything. I reccommend getting one, because this is a time limited run, meaning that it will not be around forever. I wouldnt waste too much time debating it, if you want one, I would highly reccommend getting one before its too late! |

Star Benza vs. Benchmade mini-griptilian |
Date Posted: 3/18/2011 |
| For those of us who wear neckties more often than we wish to, this knife provides a tie to where we might rather be. It is good to be able to carry a great knife while dressed for business.
Relative to the Benchmade Mini-Griptilian, which I have carried for several years, the Star Benza is classier, thinner, sharper, and perhaps a hair lighter. It oozes quality. It sits lower in the pocket which is a good thing; it is not as noticeable. I really like the texture of the frame. The Benchmade is easier for me to open one-handed due to a slightly larger thumb stud. For weekend duties, the thicker Benchmade is perhaps easier to handle.
The Benchmade is a good value, but the StarBenza is clearly a superior knife. |

First high end carry knife |
Date Posted: 12/15/2010 |
| This is the first high end folding knife Ive owned. The 3 inch blade makes it a legal carry. The ergonomics are incredible for a smaller knife. The knife has been recognized and complimented on a number of occasions.
My wife saw the knife, handled it and asked if it comes in pink.......
When I showed her that it does not, she saw the 1911s. As a result I have clearance to own a Wilson next year.
How many knives can do that??? |
