300 AAC Blackout
The 300 Blackout (300 BLK) was designed by Remington/AAC to create a reliable, compact .30 caliber round for the AR platform that uses a standard bolt and magazine. 300 Blackout is optimized for suppressed fire with heavy bullet subsonic loads but can also be used with supersonic ammunition when extra range is needed. The 1-8” twist will work well for subsonic and supersonic loadings alike and there is typically no need for an adjustable gas block when switching back and forth between the two loadings.

||Wonderful Product...No BS!
|Ok folks...I am not a paid reviewer or have any interest in WC. I have built a total of seven rifles in the AR platform and think the Wilson Combat barrels are one of the best along with their customer support. I have used other barrel manufacturers only to be frustrated with adjusting the gas port by drilling and even sending the barrels back to the original manufacturer for replacement. I purchased a Wilson Combat Match Grade Barrel, 300 AAC Blackout, Recon Tactical, 16, 1-8 Twist, Stainless, Fluted because I was waiting for two barrels I ordered from a barrel manufacturer in Montana. I assembled an upper using this listed barrel, installed an EOTECH on top and took it to the range with a lower assembly with a Geissele SSA trigger. The first five shots Remington 120 gr. Supersonic through the EOTECH where high and right at 50 yards. After a little tuning I was able to group 10 shots in 1 inch at 50 yards. I installed a Nikon P300 scope and was able to shoot a sub 1 inch, 10 shot group at 100 yards with crap factory ammo! This rifle was made and assembled as a hog/deer rifle to only shoot supersonic loads. I cannot say enough about the Wilson Combat barrels right out of the box. I originally wanted to build and sell this upper after I finally received the barrels I ordered from a barrel manufacturer in Montana. However, after shooting this upper...I wish I could have cancelled my order with the other manufacturer and ordered everything through WC. Also, I ordered two adjustable gas blocks through WC for those two other barrels. WC requested I send them the two barrels and they hand fitted the pistol length gas block/tubes and resized the gas port for optimum performance. You may be asking what they charged me to custom fit their product and optimize the gas port to someone elses barrels...$25.00.
Do yourself a favor and purchase a Wilson Combat barrel. I am planning on another build and the Wilson Barrel will be installed...PERIOD.|

|Bought this barrel along with a billet upper and lower 6 months ago. First day with my 150 Grain hand loads and newly mounted Leopold Mark AR scope on the Wilson Scope mount and shot several <.90 five shot groups. Tight 300 BLK barrel!!|

||Best barrel I ever bought
|I bought this barrel since all the other manufactures I looked at where sold out. This Wilson barrel had everything I was looking for and the price was great. I built my blackout and went to my range for a test fire. I loaded up some 125gr. SMK and started sighting in my Burris 1-4x24 Fullfield TAC30 Illum Ballistic CQ scope at 50yrds. The first 3 shots all hit in a 1/2in. group low and to the left. I made some changes on the turrets and dropped 3 more shot in the bulls eye that I could cover up with a dime. I was so impressed with this barrel I bought the 18in. barrel and built another blackout and put a Nikon 3-9 Prostaff scope on it. At 100 yrds I was smacking 1/2in. groups and also out to `150yrds as well. These Wilson barrels are amazing. Im buying another 16in. & 18in. fluted SS barrel just to have on hand. Hunting season is going to be a riot shooting deer with the Blackout.|

|I decided to convert my 5.56 to the .300 Blackout and went with this barrel. It certainly took awhile to get due to a lengthy backorder, however, it was well worth the wait! Fit and finish is tight and perfect. Highly recommended if you want to convert or build a new upper.|
